For 40 years, the AGC has delighted audiences across Australia and around the world with our performances at major national and international events, on television and in recording studios; to become a much loved Australian cultural icon.
More than just a choir…
We aim to challenge the traditional view of choirs, and are known for our ability to excite audiences with our impressive choreographed routines, vibrant performance costumes and exquisite singing. We have a diverse and extensive repertoire including much loved Aussie tunes, upbeat and inspirational items, Broadway show numbers, songs from other cultures and of course Christmas Carols! Event organisers often comment on our girls’ professionalism, impeccable behaviour and their wonderful ability to connect and interact with different audiences.
Representing the ‘Spirit of Australia’ for Qantas
There is no greater testament to our reputation than our selection by Qantas to represent the ‘Spirit of Australia’ in their highly acclaimed ‘I Still Call Australia Home‘ advertising campaigns since 1998. We are delighted to have involved thousands of our girls in the filming of the advertisements and in hundreds of live performances and tours for Qantas during our 27 year relationship.
Our performance experience is unparalleled
The AGC has performed with a long list of outstanding artists and personalities from the entertainment world including Hugh Jackman, Olivia Newton-John, Guy Sebastian, Christine Anu and Marina Prior. They have entertained dignitaries including Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth II, Pope Benedict XVI, and President Barack Obama. We have dazzled audiences all over the globe at events including recently at Hugh Jackman’s national tour ‘Broadway To Oz’, the filming of Oprah Winfrey’s live Australia Shows, the AFL Grand Final, Australian Open Tennis and the Boy from Oz arena musical. We have also undertaken several exciting recording projects including the release of our latest CD, Chasing Rainbows, for ABC Music and involvement in the Myer Spirit of Christmas CD.

The AGC is a national organisation with over 40 years of industry experience, and as Australia’s most in demand performing arts organisation, you can feel assured when booking us that you are securing the best. What a fantastic night of celebration! 🎉
On Friday, our talented Perth choristers took the stage at the 7NEWS @youngachieverawards a special event that shines a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of Western Australians under 30.
It was an honour for us to perform and be part of an evening that celebrates the passion, innovation, and drive of WA’s youth. Our choristers left inspired by the powerful stories shared throughout the night. ✨

🎤 Tutor Tip Time!
Today, Melbourne tutor Ainsley Summerton shares a brilliant tip to help you create a more supported sound when singing.
As an AGC alumni member and our Student Participation Administrator, Ainsley has had a long association with the choir. She also shared what she loves most about working with our choristers:
“It’s so rewarding to see the girls on stage - singing, dancing, and performing with confidence! There’s always such a buzz of excitement as they come off, and a real sense of pride in what they’ve achieved, both individually and as a group.” ⭐
Give Ainsley’s Tutor Tip a try in your next class or rehearsal, you might be surprised by the difference it makes! 🎶
