Event Organisers

For more than 30 years, the AGC has delighted audiences across Australia and around the world with our performances at major national and international events, on television and in recording studios; to become a much loved Australian cultural icon.

More than just a choir…

We aim to challenge the traditional view of choirs, and are known for our ability to excite audiences with our impressive choreographed routines, vibrant performance costumes and exquisite singing. We have a diverse and extensive repertoire including much loved Aussie tunes, upbeat and inspirational items, Broadway show numbers, songs from other cultures and of course Christmas Carols! Event organisers often comment on our girls’ professionalism, impeccable behaviour and their wonderful ability to connect and interact with different audiences.

Representing the ‘Spirit of Australia’ for Qantas

There is no greater testament to our reputation than our selection by Qantas to represent the ‘Spirit of Australia’ in their highly acclaimed ‘I Still Call Australia Home’ advertising campaigns since 1998. We are delighted to have involved thousands of our girls in the filming of the advertisements and in hundreds of live performances and tours for Qantas during our nineteen year relationship.

Our performance experience is unparalleled

The AGC has performed with a long list of outstanding artists and personalities from the entertainment world including Hugh Jackman, Olivia Newton-John, Guy Sebastian, Christine Anu and Marina Prior. They have entertained dignitaries including Nelson Mandela, Queen Elizabeth II, Pope Benedict XVI, and President Barack Obama. We have dazzled audiences all over the globe at events including recently at Hugh Jackman’s national tour ‘Broadway To Oz’, the filming of Oprah Winfrey’s live Australia Shows, the AFL Grand Final, Australian Open Tennis and the Boy from Oz arena musical. We have also undertaken several exciting recording projects including the release of our latest CD, Chasing Rainbows, for ABC Music and involvement in the Myer Spirit of Christmas CD.

Professionalism, adaptability and reputation

The AGC is a national organisation with over 30 years of industry experience, and as Australia’s most in demand performing arts organisation, you can feel assured when booking us that you are securing the best. All our girls are trained in song, dance and performance skills and we can offer a performance group from as small as one girl right up to 200 singers. With performance groups based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney we can provide the same size and quality of choir across a variety of locations for your events or tours. Our staff team are used to working at many of the country’s largest events and bring a wealth of experience with logistics coordination, stage management, musical direction and choreographic training.

As the count down begins for Term 3 classes, we th As the count down begins for Term 3 classes, we thought it would be fun to dip into the video archives and share a 'behind the curtain' look of some of our incredible AGC tutors when they were choristers! First up is Ms Rodgers' (NSW class of 2012) Lion King solo at the Sydney Annual Concert in 2012. "Hi I’m Ms Rodgers and I’m a tutor as well as AGC’s Music and Production Coordinator in Sydney. I used to be a shy and very quiet chorister who liked to fly under the radar. It wasn’t until Concert Level that I felt myself coming out my shell. I whole heartedly believe that my time in the AGC has shaped me to be the confident and successful woman I am today. I feel so lucky that I get to work with the new generation of AGC choristers and give them similar experiences to those that I had.” More about Ms Rodgers: I studied a Bachelor of Music and started out performing in a variety of musicals before realising my true passion was teaching. I have been a tutor for AGC in Sydney for 7 years, starting out as a Tutor Trainee all the way back in 2013. I currently teach Camerata and Cantini in Sydney.
