Experience the magic of the Australian Girls Choir at Open Day
We are delighted to invite girls who are at school in 2025 to attend our June Open Day!
Join us for a complimentary class, meet our lovely tutors and experience what it’s like to be a part of the Australian Girls Choir.
Does your daughter love to sing, dance and perform? Look no further than the AGC because we encourage, challenge and inspire girls as they grow musically and socially in our fun and dynamic classes. Your daughter will develop confidence, public speaking and presentation skills while building friendships that will last a lifetime.
Open Day
Our Open Days are available for girls in Foundation (first year of school) to Grade 6 to attend, and bookings can be made by completing the Registration Form. Open Days are only offered at selected venue locations, however our full regular venue list is included below. Attendance is free but places are strictly limited so registration is essential to attend, and session times are based on 2025 school grade.
We prefer for girls in Grade 7 and above to attend the relevant class at a regular AGC rehearsal so that she can be placed with girls of a similar age. Please select the relevant trial class on the Registration Form and we will be in touch to book you in at your local rehearsal venue.
Trial Classes
While we recommend coming along to our Open Day to try a free class with other prospective choristers, if you’re unable to attend Open Day we would love to invite you to try a free class at your local rehearsal venue. Please select your preferred trial class from the form below.
All classes for girls in Foundation – Grade 2 are held on Saturday mornings. For girls in Grade 3 and above, please see the 2025 Timetable for details on rehearsal days at your preferred venue.

What parents are saying
“We attended the open day and our daughter had such an amazing time that we enrolled right away.”
Fiona Balthasar, mother of Imogen
“Quite simply, she loves singing, but one-on-one singing lessons could never give her what the AGC can: fun, friendships, performance opportunities, role models, female solidarity and the sheer realisation of the powerful magic you create when you work as a team.”
Daniela Andrews, VIC Parent
“The role modelling, mentoring and leadership development provided, in addition to an exceptional level of performing arts training; coupled with the friendships and sense of belonging within a community separate from schoolyard challenges, are aspects that truly set AGC apart.”
Rachel Landsberg, QLD Parent

Junior Curriculum
The junior curriculum at the Australian Girls Choir is focused on developing performing arts skills in a creative and nurturing environment.
Each lesson girls will develop vocal and musical skills through a variety of warm-ups, singing games and learning songs. Girls explore their musical creativity, while building basic vocal technique and music terminology. Our staff team uses renowned Kodaly and Orff methods to teach musical concepts and enhance repertoire learning.
In addition to singing, classes include dance and choreography, drama and speaking, and performance and presentation skills.
Throughout the year, all girls learn repertoire for mid-year and end-of-year performances. This is an opportunity for girls to perform for friends and family, build their presentation skills, and experience performing in front of a live audience.
