On Friday June 2, the AGC performed in our largest Channel 7 Sunrise appearance to date to help Sam Mac with the weather – AGC style!
Held at Milsons Point in Kirribilli, over 200 choristers from our Sydney Performing Choir, Camerata and specialist groups, appeared in live crosses throughout the morning ready to sing through rain or shine.
Viewers took to social media to request their favourite tunes, with one Sunrise Facebook post receiving over 400 requests! Our girls learnt a variety of songs quicker than some of the nation’s most unpredictable weather changes, from MC Hammer’s ‘U Can’t Touch This’ to Daryl Braithwaite’s ‘Horses’.
It was an incredible experience for all involved and we are very proud of all our AGC choristers and staff members who helped brighten up the day.

Quotes from the day
“Today was a good day! I had my own Choir. Obviously my priority was to have them perform “Horses”. Thanks to the super talented Australian Girls Choir”
– Sam Mac, Sunrise Weatherman
“Wow we had an amazing morning on Friday! Not sure if I’ve said it often enough, but we love the AGC! From the tireless efforts, no complaints, big smiles and amazing talent of the girls to the commitment, kindness and flexibility of Jane/Sabrina – we always have a very rewarding experience with you. Thank you and I look forward to working together again soon.”
– Sean Flynn, Sunrise Producer
“I would not know how to put together an AGC CV list in our time with the choir. It has been so extensive – as extensive as the skills my daughters have developed through their years with you. We will be very sad to say goodbye at the end of the year as the oldest moves on.”
– Sarah, AGC Parent
“From the minute I contacted the AGC over 2 years ago I have been nothing but impressed and whilst you complimented the girls on their performance this morning the way you (AGC) conducted yourselves made everything seamless for the parents, girls and Channel 7. I am very impressed with your ability to communicate, the level of professionalism with your teachers and support staff, and the caring culture you demonstrate – all this has not gone unnoticed and our family feel very blessed that Chiara & Asta have the AGC in their lives.”
– Lisa, AGC Parent
