Thank you so much for strongly supporting the work of Girls from Oz. This year has seen the AGC community engage in some of the most creative methods of fundraising yet, including a Winter Showcase Concert braiding stall and Performing Choir dress up nights in each state. It is both impressive and hugely touching to see AGC involvement in g-oz fundraising move from strength to strength, with individual choristers as young as 12 choosing to host events at school or in their local community.
2017 marks the third year of our Giving Circles program, and we’re thrilled to announce g-oz has once again surpassed its fundraising goal. Having set a target of raising $40,000 in three months – enough to cover approximately one third of the program’s annual direct costs – they have raised over $51,000 and have secured $20,000 in matched funding. Over the next month, g-oz will visit Halls Creek, Carnarvon and Lockhart River to deliver high quality performing arts activities to over 500 school aged children, with a specific emphasis on developing girls and young women.
The charity partnership between the Australian Girls Choir and Girls from Oz is an extremely strong one and we are very grateful to the growing number of families who support this important work.
