We believe every child can learn to sing, and that the benefits of singing go far beyond the stage.
For 40 years, the Australian Girls Choir has been proud to play a role in the growth and development of girls across the country; providing high quality performingarts education and exceptional performance opportunities.
"The AGC gives our daughter a reliable and constant institution in her life that will not waver - a place where she is appreciated and where she will learn and build confidence."
Maurie SpaccaventoSA
"It is a once in a life time opportunity to make wonderful friends and to build confidence while doing the things that my daughter loves to do - singing, dancing and performing"
Kylie MacRaeVIC
"Going to choir each week has been a place where our daughter's cares and worries can melt away. The other choristers are supportive, the classes are engaging and the performance opportunities have been spectacular."
Toni-Marie GibbsNSW
"It is such a wonderful organisation to be part of. The benefits to our daughter from belonging to the AGC will be with her long after she has left."
Kylie WeeksQLD
"My daughter tells me that she gets butterflies in her stomach every Saturday morning when she walks into class because she is so excited!"
Next week we commence rehearsals for our 2024 National and International tours! In today`s #flashbackfriday we`re reminiscing on the beauty of performing in Venice during our 2023 International Tour. It was truly a pinch-me moment and was made extra special by having some passers-by sing with us! 🎀✨
Our junior@agc classes are designed to build foundational performing arts skills through fun, play-based activities.
Alongside an enriching musical education, our choristers also benefit from our ‘hidden’ curriculum that helps develop their resilience, confidence, public speaking skills, social skills, teamwork, presentation skills, focus and more. ✨
Last night our Melbourne Performing Choir and Camerata choristers performed at the City of Boroondara Citizenship Ceremony. Our choristers enjoyed singing some of our classic Australian repertoire to welcome our new citizens! 🇦🇺
Here at the AGC, we understand that nerves can be amplified when you`re about to go onstage. We learn to manage pre-show jitters together as they`re part of the performance experience and show that you care about what you`re doing!
Jasmine, one of our Adelaide Tutors, has this excellent Tutor Tip to remind us to embrace our nerves and reflect on why we love to perform! 🎤
